Fractional & Interim Product Manager for Digital Products

Senior product ownership for teams hiring their first product lead, covering a transition or needing experienced support alongside the team they already have.

I take product work from customer insight and discovery through feature and MVP choices, prioritisation, delivery, launch and adoption. It is a hands-on role inside your team, working with your founders, designers and engineers.

When a fractional or interim product manager is the right fit

  • You need experienced product ownership before making a full-time hire.

  • Customer feedback and discovery have to become feature or MVP decisions, and a roadmap the team can deliver.

  • A launch, onboarding or activation journey needs an owner.

Fractional and interim are two flexible ways to bring senior product ownership into a team. A fractional arrangement is ongoing and takes part of the week, alongside the people you already have. An interim arrangement covers the role for a period, such as a gap between hires or a transition. The product work is the same in both.

Both work best when someone in the team can make decisions with me at a regular rhythm. If product ownership is already a full week's work with no end in sight, a full-time hire is probably the better answer, and the work done in the meantime can prepare for it.

From customer insight to product adoption

Product decisions tend to hold up better when the person who listened to the customer also shapes the requirements, works with the people building the product and looks at what happens after release. I can take ownership across all four stages or join at the one where your team needs support.

Customer insight

I get close to the customer, the product, the market and the data first. That covers customer discovery, interviews, voice-of-customer material and behavioural analysis, read together so that a feature request becomes a clearer definition of the problem underneath it.

Customer insight

A defined problem becomes a feature or MVP decision. I scope the MVP, set out the roadmap in an order the team can defend, and state the trade-offs along with what success should look like.
